Backyard Burn Permit Renewal 

  • Only for individuals who held a backyard burn permit within the past two burn seasons.
  • Must click the button below to renew your backyard burn permit and process credit card or E-Check payment (please note, a service fee of $1.49 will be added for using the online payment service).
  • After payment of the permit fee, please allow a minimum of five (5) business days for the APCD to issue your Burn Permit and send it to you via email or U.S. mail if an email address is not provided. 

By processing your e-payment you will agree to conduct burning in compliance with all SLO County APCD Rules and Regulations that apply to backyard burning. See the APCD regulation for proper backyard burning here

Agricultural Burn Permit Renewal

  • Only for individuals who held an agricultural burn permit within the past two burn seasons.
  • Must click the button below to renew your agricultural burn permit and process credit card or E-Check payment (please note, a service fee of $2.35 will be added for using a credit card or $1.49 for using an E-Check).
  • After payment of the permit fee, please allow a minimum of five (5) business days for the APCD to issue your Burn Permit and send it to you via email or U.S. mail if an email address is not provided or is illegible.
  • If your Agricultural burn project meets the criteria for CAL FIRE's LE-5/7 burn permit, you must also apply for that permit separately at: https://burnpermit.fire.ca.gov/.

Invoice Payment  

APCD now accepts both Debit/Credit Card and E-Check electronic payments.

  • Credit/Debit Cards will incur a service fee of 2.35% (minimum of $1.49)
  • E-Checks will incur a flat fee of $1.49.
