Monitoring Stations

The California Air Resources Board (ARB) maintains a website with technical information on all of the monitoring stations operated throughout the state, including our county.

2020 Ambient Air Monitoring Network Plan

The 2020 Ambient Air Monitoring Network Plan is an annual examination and evaluation of the APCD's network of air pollution monitoring stations. The annual review of the state and local air monitoring stations network is required by Title 40, Code of Federal Regulation, Part 58.10. Public comment on the 2020 plan will be accepted until midnight, June 28, 2020. This plan, along with any public comments received will be submitted to the EPA on July 1, 2020.

To provide comments on the plan you can email Karl Tupper at ktupper@co.slo.ca.us or mail comments to 3433 Roberto Court, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401.

Network Assessment

The network assessment is a more detailed examination and assessment of the more technical aspects of the monitoring program performed every five years. The last network assessment was completed in 2015.
