Lawn & Garden Electrification Program - Now Available

1/10/2025

APCD's Lawn and Garden Electrification Program

This program can help commercial landscapers, nonprofit organizations, public agencies, schools/universities, and commercial businesses (non-landscaping) replace their old fuel-based equipment with electric! The participant must currently own and operate gasoline or diesel landscaping equipment and be willing to trade in the equipment for new cordless electric equipment.

While this program will issue "vouchers" to qualifying applicants, this program is a reimbursement program and you will be issued payment after the new equipment is purchased, old equipment is detroyed and subsequent paperwork is completed and submitted.

For the first 90 days of the program, $100,000 of the program funds will be reserved for applicants that apply to replace their fuel-based equipment with electric equipment where the total project cost is at or under $5,000. After 90 days, all remaining program funds will be available for electric L&GE project applications, not to exceed a $30,000 equipment maximum incentive. Projects will be funded on a first-come, first-served basis as determined by when applications are deemed complete by APCD staff.
