Summer Internship

Each summer, the District offers internship positions to students. The opportunity allows students to gain real world experience that can be applied toward future careers. In addition, the District is given the opportunity to work with students and to receive valuable help in implementing programs.

Typical student interns with the District will be working toward their college degrees in engineering or the sciences. Based upon the interest and the expertise of the students hired, work may be divided between the Engineering, Planning, Compliance and/or Monitoring Divisions. Specific assignments vary from year to year.

The internship positions are approximately 32 hours a week and typically last from mid-June through mid-September.

Contact us if you are interested in finding out more about the internship positions, or if you would like to apply.
