Engine Emission Reduction Grant Program

The APCD’s Engine Emission Reduction Incentive (EERI) Program provides funding on a first-come-first-served basis to help pay for projects that reduce heavy-duty diesel engine emissions.
On January 25, 2012, the APCD Board authorized the next round of grant funding be used for the EERI Program.  Applications that went unfunded during the last funding cycle will account for some of these grant dollars leaving approximately $475,000 available for new project applications.
Current eligible project categories include:

• On-road truck replacements
• Off-road replacements, repowers and retrofits of:
• Agricultural tractors and
• Mobile construction equipment
• Agricultural irrigation engine electrifications, repowers and retrofits.

Trucks and off-road equipment to replace old models must be purchased from an approved dealer.  See the APCD’s list of dealers below.
